Xiaomi has revealed the Mijia Cooking Robot, a new kitchen gadget similar to the popular Thermomix TM6. The company claims that there are 35 different ways that you can use the smart device, from grinding spices to stir-frying.

You can process as little as 1 g (~0.04 oz) or food, with a maximum volume capacity of 2.2 L and a wide range of rotation speeds from 40 to 12,000 rpm. Plus, you can cook up to three different dishes at once across the main pot, steamer and basket. 3D induction heat technology ensures fast and uniform heating, up to 180 °C (~356 °F).

You can view over 200 recipes and tutorials on the integrated 8-in (~20 cm) touchscreen. Alternatively, you can control the Cooking Robot with Xiao AI voice commands. A CookingIoT algorithm controls the cooking process, automatically calculating the cooking temperature and times, with Xiaomi suggesting it will continue to improve via OTA updates. The kitchen gadget measures 413 x 316 x 344 mm (~16.3 x 12.4 x 13.5-in) and weighs around 10 kg (~22 lbs).

The Xiaomi Mijia Cooking Robot launched for pre-order in China for 5,999 yuan (~US$869); however, it appears that the gadget is currently sold out. After the pre-sale period, the device is expected to retail for 6,999 yuan (~US$1,014). It is unclear whether or when the robot could be available in other markets.
